The Chopta Trek is a beautiful valley, made up of luxuriant green wetlands, surrounded by huge pines and oak trees. The Chopta Tungnath trek budget is very easy to pocket and offers much more than the cost!

The tour begins at Haridwar – or any other city according to your convenience – and takes you to Sari to set up a base camp. From Sari, your walk takes you to the Deoriatal Sea, which reflects the splendid view of the Grand Himalayas and is called “two worlds in one place.” It’s a wonderful experience. The trek then passes through Chopta to Tungnath. The land of myths and sages is Tungnath. It is one of the 5 “naths” where the 5 body parts of Lord Shiva have been spread. Finally, before heading back, the adventure reaches Chandrashila. Amazing view over the various Himalayan peaks such as Nandadevi, Trisul, Kedar Peak, Bandarpunch and Chaukhamba, the peak, which is about 13.000 ft. above sea level. You pass Rohini Bugyal, one of Chopta’s most peaceful and pleasant weeds.

You will stay in tents during the nights, together with sleeping bags.

At the beginning of this adventure, you must meet us at Haridwar Train Station.

This expedition takes place in the winter months of October, until the beginning of March, until November, December and January, offering the campers the opportunity to explore the vast, sparkling expanse of snow that spills over the Himalayas. Rest assured that this is a lifetime experience.

Tungnath is one of the world’s most elevated Shiva Temples. It is located in the Tungnath Mountains in the Rudraprayag district, in the Indian state of Uttarakhand at an altitude of 3,680 meters (12,073ft). Tungnath Trek is a famous trek which is considered to be India’s simplest trek.

Many trekkers do this snow walk in Tungnath each year and enjoy the amazing views over the Himalayas. Every year. This trek passes through numerous small towns on the top of the river such as Rudraprayag, Devprayag, and Sari. The best spot on this tour is Deoriatal Lake in between. The shiny waters on the lake look good, but the water is cold. The water is cold. Enjoy the opportunity to explore the forest trails, huge maples, oaks, and lake-side pine trees.

Tungnath trek consists of panoramic waterfalls, greenery, forest paths, and the Garhwal Himalayas’ beautiful snowy mountains.

Chalkot, the calm, lush meadow of Chopta valley will be the base camp for this trek.

Don’t miss an opportunity to stay in the Chopta Valley camps. Chopta is also called Uttarakhand’s “Mini Switzerland.”

Tungnath is known for the Temple of Shiva and the tour continues up to the Peak of Chandrashila. The Chandrashila peak lies at an altitude of approximately 4000 meters. This top offers fascinating views on the Himalayan peaks Nanda Devi, Trishul, Kedar Peak, Bandarpuch.

From April to November, the best time to do this trek is when Chopta gets heavy snowfall. Snow-covered from December to March is Tungnath and Chandrashila. The best months for visiting the clear views of the Himalayan Peaks from September through November. The temperature falls to negative because the region is all snow-circumcised and mainly cold.

# The trek from Chopta to Tungnath starts after a hot breakfast. The hike is approximately 5 km and is a climb to a paradise!

# You can explore the famous Tungnath temple, which is known to be at least 1000 years old when you reach Tungnath. This is a highlight of the entire trip, as a religious pilgrimage is attracted by the temple itself many tourists.

# This day is not over, as you continue to the peak of Chandrashila, which is more than 12,000 ft high. This is also one of the main features of the journey. The fascinating birds of the Himalaya, the amazing view of the Garhwal, gigantic pine trees, maple and oak trees in the area, and, of course, the deep, omnipresent mountain silence are all enough for your breath.

# You will start the descent back to Chopta after spending some time on the summit, where you are camping again at night.

# You will begin your trip to the lake at an altitude of 2438m above sea level and take about 2 hours to reach it after having breakfast. This is a 2.5 km walk. During winter months, temperatures at the lake vary from -5° to up to 12°C. And it’s a sight to see with the snow, glistening in the sunlight. The Alaknanda and the Ganga, which flow nearby, determines the path of this trek.

# 10:30 AM – You will start back to Rishikesh after rest and take the last moments on the mountain. The long journey is enough, however, you don’t look far enough away to check your watch. The views are blinkered outside the window. The mountains, the sharp twisting of the road, the cold bite air, the steep descent, the clean air that is detoxifying the body slowly…

3 reviews for Chopta Chandrashila Deoriatal Tungnath Trek 2024 (3D/2N), Haridwar, Uttarakhand, India

  1. Pooja rathore

Tunganath is Garwal’s tallest temple. During this trek, I saw that majestic peaks such as Panchchuli, Nanda Devi, Nilkanth, and even Kedarnath were uncluttered. Too underrated is Chopta chandrashila trek. The views of the whole Himalayas even are beautiful and picturesque. I think the beginning of the spring is the right trekking season. In fact, the forest of Rhododendrons shines rot as the flowers flower in the spring. It was a lovely walk. In Haridwar it begins and ends. I had a great time. I had a great time. WOW, is an untruth to explain the trek’s incredibly good nature.

  2. samir singh

Best service , good food, room cleans staff is corporative and very polity, I will Difiently recommend to others also.

  3. sahil yadav

This place is still untouched by many so if you are looking for a peaceful place, this is the one of the best place to go.
